Acquisition Thesis — Rev. 2026
Great companies aren’t broken. They just need room to keep going.
Eidos Innovations Group acquires EMS businesses — built by manufacturing operators and career dealmakers. We work with founder- and family-owned companies ready for their next chapter.
Thesis
Electronics manufacturing doesn’t consolidate the way most industries do. The certifications, customer relationships, and floor-level know-how inside a well-run EMS shop take years to earn — and they’re easy to destroy in a bad transaction.
Eidos exists to acquire those companies without breaking what makes them work: the same staff, the same customer relationships, the same institutional knowledge — under a stronger balance sheet and a deeper bench of manufacturing and finance expertise.
“We’re not interested in owning electronics manufacturers. We’re interested in helping the right ones keep going.”
Why Eidos
ei·dos /ˈaɪ-dɒs/ — Greek for “form” or “essential nature”: the idea that makes a thing what it is.
Every deal is led by people who’ve actually run manufacturing operations and closed transactions — not analysts learning the industry on your company’s time.
Operators, Not Analysts
Our partners have built and run manufacturing and finance operations firsthand — not just modeled them from a spreadsheet.
Career Dealmakers
Decades of M&A, investment banking, and public accounting experience sit on our board, guiding every transaction.
~200 Years Combined
Five partners and directors, drawn from manufacturing leadership, banking, and accounting — not a single-person shop.
What We Look For
Every company is different, but this is roughly the shape of what we’re screening for.
How It Works
Four stages, roughly. Timelines flex to the business, not the other way around.
Introduction
A direct conversation, no intermediaries required.
Diligence, Together
We study the business with you, not around you.
Terms That Fit
Equity retention, timeline, and role are all negotiable.
Close & Continuity
Leadership, staff, and culture carry forward.
Board & Governance
Our non-executive board pairs manufacturing leadership with finance, banking, accounting, and legal expertise — the full stack a portfolio company needs without adding layers of bureaucracy.
Full bios shared directly upon introduction.
Principal Director
Background in project management for global manufacturing companies — hi-tech automation, complex supply chains, network design, and M&A. BS in Mechanical Engineering, Iowa State University.
“It takes incredible people who not only believe in the idea, but also have the talent to execute it.”
Common Questions
How long does a transaction take?
It depends on the business and how ready it is for diligence, but our process is built to move efficiently once we’re aligned on terms — no unnecessary back-and-forth.
What happens to my employees and leadership team?
Continuity is the point. We look to keep staff, management, and customer relationships intact rather than restructure around them.
How is my company valued?
We look at the business’s historical performance and underlying fundamentals, and we’re upfront about how we arrive at a number — no black box.
Do I need to sell 100% of the business?
Not necessarily. We’re open to structures where some ownership stays in place, depending on what fits your situation.
Will word get out that I’m exploring a sale?
No. Every conversation starts under NDA, and we don’t contact your customers, employees, or competitors without your permission.
